So far the fence managed to avoid hitting anything else on the way down, but there is still one panel standing so - watch this space!!Lady Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02925306135979712974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-680400606668719196.post-39569209180285907922011-11-05T14:49:10.901-07:002011-11-05T14:49:10.901-07:00'i' before 'e' except after 'c...'i' before 'e' except after 'c' - suspect you know that!!Lady Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02925306135979712974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-680400606668719196.post-74753362667622227992011-11-05T14:43:24.106-07:002011-11-05T14:43:24.106-07:00Inconcievable!Inconcievable!Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11201835677426254567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-680400606668719196.post-56318921205034112872011-11-05T14:28:14.565-07:002011-11-05T14:28:14.565-07:00Just noticed an apostrophe in the wrong place! We had a 4 day power cut a few year's ago and managed quite well. Although it was November we barbecued all the thawed out contents of the freezer on the chiminea - neighbours brought their stuff as well and we had some good parties! We improvised with space heaters, candles and camping gas stove BUT if it was going to be long term, I would install a woodburning stove, move the chiminea nearer the back door, get on a bicycle and buy fresh food every day (like our parents used to) and wash up with a kettle of hot water (from the water butt). I think that just about covers most things - except the computer and I just couldn't live without that! So - a wind generator would be a must. Have I missed anything?Lady Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02925306135979712974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-680400606668719196.post-71579016003868555872011-11-03T16:23:22.230-07:002011-11-03T16:23:22.230-07:00I've seen several blogs along these lines rece...I've seen several blogs along these lines recently (though yours is the funniest). Is it all falling apart? Do the maintenance contracts stand? Not quite ready to push it all over, but I think we have to consider how we'll live once all the dominoes crash down.<br />BTW, Sue, you and Z live quite close together.Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11201835677426254567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-680400606668719196.post-84147641443650857132011-11-03T15:48:15.030-07:002011-11-03T15:48:15.030-07:00Here, it takes Christmas for something major to fa...Here, it takes Christmas for something major to fall over. Usually the dishwasher, when full of dirty dishes. Not always terminal, but always a pain in the neck.Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00822383355869390919noreply@blogger.com
